Terms of Service

mini murray and me 

1. Service Overview

mini murray and me offers bespoke, handmade creations including (but not limited to):

  • Resin ocean chopping boards

  • Ocean artworks

  • Memorial art (including the incorporation of ashes)

  • Alcohol ink artworks

  • Floral preservation for weddings, funerals, and significant life events

All items are handcrafted with care and artistic discretion. Each piece is one-of-a-kind and custom made.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By placing an order with mini murray and me - online, at markets, expos, or pop-up shops, you agree to these Terms of Service and all associated policies.

3. Orders & Payments

Orders may be placed online, in person or through an approved booking arrangement with mini murray and me.

Floral Preservation Orders

  • 🌸 Floral preservation only: 50% deposit, remaining 50% at the resin stage.
    The remaining 50% balance is due when your preserved flowers are ready to enter the resin stage, generally around six months after receiving your flowers.

  • 🤍 Any order containing ashes, hair, fur or other personal memorial inclusions: 100% payment upfront, even when flowers are included.

Memorial Keepsakes

All memorial keepsakes incorporating ashes, hair, fur or other personal memorial inclusions require payment in full at the time of booking.

General Payment Conditions

  • All prices are displayed in Australian dollars (AUD).

  • Orders must be paid in full before collection or dispatch.

  • Once preparation or production has commenced, change-of-mind cancellations may be subject to reasonable costs already incurred, subject to Australian Consumer Law.

  • Your agreed order price will not change without your approval unless an adjustment was clearly agreed at the time of booking.

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies rights available under Australian Consumer Law.

4. Change of Mind & Cancellations

At mini murray and me, every custom order is individually planned and handmade using materials that often hold significant sentimental value.

Change-of-Mind Cancellations

If you wish to cancel your order, please contact us as soon as possible.

Once work has commenced, including flower preparation, drying, design planning or resin production, cancellation may not be possible without incurring costs.

For change-of-mind cancellations, we may retain reasonable amounts for work already completed, materials purchased and other costs incurred, where permitted by law and the terms agreed at booking.

Any applicable refund will be assessed based on the stage of your order and the costs incurred.

Changes to Orders

Requests to change the size, design, finish or number of keepsakes must be made before resin production begins.

We will do our best to accommodate changes where possible. Additional charges may apply and will be confirmed before proceeding.

Once resin production has commenced, changes may no longer be possible.

Your Consumer Rights

Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or modifies your rights under Australian Consumer Law.

If a product or service fails to meet an applicable consumer guarantee, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, refund or other remedy as provided by law.

5. Flower Submission & Handling

At mini murray and me, we understand that flowers often hold significant sentimental value. Every arrangement is treated with care and respect throughout the preservation process.

Flower Delivery

  • Customers are responsible for arranging timely delivery or shipment of their flowers to our studio in Smeaton Grange, NSW.

  • Flowers should be supplied as fresh as possible for the best preservation results.

  • We accept flowers delivered in person or sent via Express Post, subject to our packaging guidelines.

  • We cannot guarantee the preservation quality of flowers that arrive wilted, damaged, mouldy or significantly deteriorated.

Flower Selection & Preparation

  • Not all flowers supplied will necessarily be dried or preserved.

  • mini murray and me will select the flowers and petals considered most suitable for the customer's chosen keepsake.

  • Flowers may be trimmed, separated or altered during the preparation and preservation process.

  • Natural changes in flower colour, shape and appearance are expected.

Unused Flowers & Materials

Customers acknowledge that their commissioned keepsake may not require all flowers supplied.

Unless alternative arrangements have been agreed upon before preparation begins, customers authorise mini murray and me to retain or respectfully dispose of unused flowers and petals that are not required for their commissioned artwork.

Customers wishing to have unused flowers returned must request this before preservation begins and pay an additional Drying Fee.
Return arrangements are subject to the condition and availability of the flowers, and additional shipping costs may apply.

Unused flowers will become the soul property of mini murray and me.

Photography & Promotional Use

Photography and promotional use of commissioned artwork are governed by our Photography, Portfolio & Promotional Use terms.

Nothing in this section excludes or limits rights available under Australian Consumer Law.

Photography, Portfolio & Promotional Use

mini murray and me retains the right to photograph and document commissioned artworks and completed keepsakes throughout the creative process.

By placing an order, customers acknowledge that photographs and videos of their commissioned artwork may be used for business portfolio purposes, website displays, social media, advertising and other promotional materials, without additional payment.

This includes floral preservation pieces, ocean artworks and memorial keepsakes incorporating ashes, hair, fur or other sentimental inclusions.

Where artwork contains identifying photographs, names, personal details or sensitive memorial information, additional permission may be required before publication.

Customers may contact mini murray and me before production to discuss specific privacy concerns.

These terms do not transfer ownership of customers' personal belongings or sentimental materials to mini murray and me, or override applicable privacy and consumer laws.

6. Flower Drying & Preservation Disclaimer

At mini murray and me, every flower is carefully prepared and preserved using techniques suited to its type and condition.

Natural Changes During Preservation

Customers acknowledge that flowers are natural materials and that changes in their appearance are an expected part of the drying and resin preservation process.

These changes may include:

  • Colour changes, including whites becoming cream, yellow or brown, reds darkening and pinks changing in tone.

  • Changes in shape, size and texture, including loss of petals.

  • Increased transparency or complete changes in appearance once flowers are embedded in resin.

  • Natural imperfections, markings or variations becoming more noticeable.

Flower Condition

The condition, age, variety and handling of flowers before they reach our studio can significantly influence preservation results.

While we take reasonable care throughout the process, we cannot guarantee that flowers will retain their original colour, shape or appearance.

Some flowers may not be suitable for preservation due to deterioration, mould, damage or excessive water intake.

Preservation Expectations

Floral preservation is an artistic process, and no two finished keepsakes will be identical.

We aim to honour the sentimental significance of each arrangement while working with the natural characteristics of the flowers supplied.

Natural variations that are inherent to the preservation process do not, by themselves, indicate a defect.

Sentimental value is the focus of our work, not cosmetic perfection.

7. Resin Disclaimer & Care

At mini murray and me, we use quality resin products selected for their clarity, durability and suitability for our handmade artworks and keepsakes.

Natural Ageing & Yellowing

Customers acknowledge that resin may naturally change in appearance over time.

This can include:

  • Gradual yellowing or changes in clarity.

  • Changes in colour caused by exposure to sunlight and ultraviolet (UV) light.

  • Natural ageing influenced by environmental conditions and the materials incorporated into the resin such as flowers, your flowers may change colour in the resin over time.

Although we use resin products formulated to resist yellowing, no resin can be guaranteed to remain completely unchanged indefinitely.

Care & Display

To help maintain the appearance and longevity of your keepsake, we recommend:

  • Keeping resin pieces away from direct sunlight and prolonged UV exposure.

  • Avoiding excessive heat, moisture and extreme temperature changes.

  • Cleaning gently with a soft, non-abrasive cloth.

  • Avoiding harsh chemicals, solvents and abrasive cleaning products.

  • Handling delicate or decorative pieces with care.

Handmade Characteristics

As each resin piece is individually handmade, minor variations such as small bubbles, subtle surface differences or natural variations in embedded materials may occur.

These characteristics are assessed in the context of the product's intended design and reasonable quality expectations.

Consumer Rights

Natural ageing and inherent material characteristics that have been clearly disclosed do not automatically constitute product defects.

Nothing in this disclaimer excludes, restricts or modifies rights available under Australian Consumer Law, including applicable consumer guarantees relating to acceptable quality, durability and fitness for purpose.

  • All resin will naturally yellow over time, particularly with sun exposure.

  • We use premium resin with anti-yellowing agents; however, aging cannot be eliminated entirely.

8. Artistic Discretion & Design Approval

At mini murray and me, every artwork and keepsake is individually handmade, with each design thoughtfully created using our artistic experience and professional judgement.

Artistic Freedom

By placing an order, customers acknowledge that:

  • Flower placement, arrangement, composition and overall artistic presentation are determined by mini murray and me.

  • Each piece is unique, and exact replication of reference photographs, previous artworks or sample designs cannot be guaranteed.

  • The type, size, condition and quantity of flowers supplied may influence the final design.

  • Variations in colour, positioning and appearance are natural characteristics of handmade artwork.

Changes During Production

Once resin pouring has commenced, changes to flower placement, inclusions, colours or design may no longer be possible.

Customers acknowledge that resin preservation is a permanent process and that certain artistic decisions cannot be reversed once materials have been embedded.


Design Process & Approval

mini murray and me operates on an artist-led design process.

Flower arrangements, placement and overall compositions are created using our professional artistic judgement.

Pre-pour photographs, design mock-ups and customer approval of flower placement are not included in our standard service.

By proceeding with an order, customers acknowledge that the design will be completed without individual approval photographs unless an alternative arrangement has been expressly agreed upon in writing before production.

Customers are encouraged to communicate any important design preferences before resin production begins. We will consider these preferences where reasonably possible, subject to the agreed order requirements and the suitability of the flowers.

Final Artwork

The completed artwork may differ from initial expectations due to natural flower characteristics, preservation results and the handmade process.

These disclosed variations do not, by themselves, constitute defects.

Nothing in this section excludes or limits customers' rights under Australian Consumer Law, including where a completed item does not meet an expressly agreed design requirement or applicable.

  • All designs and placements are interpreted artistically at our discretion.

  • Design consultations are not included unless pre-arranged.

  • Client involvement in design decisions may incur additional hourly fees.

9. Turnaround Time

  • Standard turnaround: 9–12 months from flower submission.

  • Timeframes may vary due to weather conditions, curing requirements, and seasonal workload.

  • NSW School Holidays are observed, and production pauses during these periods.

  • mini murray and me operates as a family-first business.

10. Quality Assurance

  • Handmade items may contain minor imperfections (e.g. bubbles, texture, slight unevenness).

  • Only issues affecting structural integrity or function will be rectified.

  • All artistic decisions are final.

11. Pricing

  • Prices are subject to change without notice.

  • Full payment is required prior to collection or shipment.

12. Non-Collection & Abandonment

  • Items must be collected or paid in full within 30 days of completion notification.

  • Failure to do so results in forfeiture of the deposit.

  • Items may be disposed of, repurposed, or used for promotional purposes without further notice.

13. Shipping & Handling

  • Clients are responsible for shipping costs to and from our studio.

  • Packaging and transport instructions are provided.

  • Damage during transit is not the responsibility of mini murray and me.

14. Customer Satisfaction

  • Any concerns must be raised within 48 hours of receiving your item.

  • All sales are final unless deemed faulty under Australian Consumer Law.

15. Intellectual Property & Promotion

  • All creations remain the intellectual property of mini murray and me.

  • We may photograph and use images or details of your item for marketing and promotional
