How Floral Preservation Works

  • How long does the process take?

Floral preservation is a SLOW and CAREFUL process. Turnaround time is approximately 9–12+ months from flower submission to completion.

  • Can I choose exactly how my flowers are placed in resin?

No, All floral placements are up to the complete discretion of mini murray and me.

  • What if my flowers aren’t perfectly fresh?

We work with the flowers you send. Fresh flowers typically give the best results, but we’ll preserve whatever is provided.

  • Can I post my flowers from interstate?

Absolutely — we provide mailing instructions to safely ship your flowers from anywhere in Australia.

How It Works!

  • 1. Submit Your Flowers

We accept fresh flowers from anywhere in Australia — mailed or dropped off locally (Campbelltown, NSW).

  • Secure Your Piece

Choose your desired preservation piece and place your order with a 50% deposit to secure your spot.

  • 2. Flower Drying & Prep

Flowers are carefully dried and prepared for resin inclusion. Each bloom behaves differently, resulting in unique character and beauty.

If your flowers are mouldy or dying when i receive them,
that is what I will work with so please ship or get them to me quickly.

    • A red rose may dry - red, black, purple, deep red.

    • White flowers may dry - creamy, yellow, translucent, brown.

    • Pink Flowers may dry - Light pink, hot pink, translucent, orange, brown.

  • 3. Resin Pour & Curing

We embed your flowers in high-quality resin with anti-yellowing additives, creating a crystal-clear finish.
All resins will naturally yellow over time, especially when exposed to direct sunlight.

  • 6. How Will My Flowers Look?

I will have no idea how any flowers will dry until they come out of the drying solution.

This is due to many factors such as -

    • How much water have they had?

    • How many people have touched them with their bare hands (oils from hands)? Lets not forget - The Farmer, The Pickers, The Delivery Drivers, The Florists all before you even get them.

    • How old are they? The fresher the better.

    • Have they been in the sun?

    • Have they been in the fridge?

    • Have they been inside in the aircon / heater?

    • Have they been trimmed daily and fed?

So many factors, but ultimately at the end of the day it’s all about the sentimental value that those flowers hold.

    1. Select Fresh Flowers:

    - If possible, use flowers that are as fresh as possible. Flowers with less wilting or browning will preserve better.

    2. Prepare the Flowers: Remove excess water from the flower petals by lightly patting them with a dry paper towel. - Gently trim the stems if necessary.

    3. Wrap the Flowers:

Wrap each flower separately in tissue paper or paper towels to protect the petals and prevent damage during transit.

    - For larger arrangements, you can bundle flowers together, but ensure they are not crushed.

    4. Place in a Sturdy Box:

Use a sturdy box with enough space to prevent squashing the flowers but not so big that they move around.

    - Line the bottom of the box with soft padding like bubble wrap or shredded paper for cushioning.

    - Place the wrapped flowers inside and fill any gaps with additional padding to prevent movement.

    5. Label the Box Clearly:

Write “FRAGILE” on the outside of the box in big letters to alert postal workers.

    6. Include Your Information:

Place a small note inside the box with your name, order number, and contact information.

    - You can also mention any special requests for the preservation.

    7. Send via Express Post:

    - Opt for express or overnight shipping to ensure the flowers arrive as quickly as possible.

    - Track the parcel if possible, and notify me when it has been sent so I can prepare to receive it.
